Have you ever heard the saying: “old enough to know better and young enough to do it again”? I would like to think that this is me, at least this is what I keep telling myself…..lol.
I am a wife, a stepmother, a grandmother, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, a sister, a sister-in-law,an aunt and a great aunt. I love my family and my friends and because of my Italian back ground, I also love food, especially Italian food, but I bet you had already imagined that!
We migrated to Canada when I was 7 years old, thus leaving every known relative in Rome Italy. My parents had no-one in Canada and they took themselves and the 4 of us to a new Country, thus forming a new chapter for themselves and for us all. I am the eldest of the 4, followed by 2 more girls and the last being a boy, and as he would say: “they saved the best for last”. I always laugh at him and tell him that we instilled this into his mind so that he wouldn’t feel out numbered. We have loved our lives in Canada and are forever thankful to our parents for having made this huge sacrifice for the good of their family.
I want to be able to share recipes, ideas, stories, good times and not so good times and just to communicate with others about life and health and thoughts of wisdom. Thing of the past and of things to come. In our family one thing is always said: “it’s all about the food”, and that’s putting it mildly.
Stick with me throughout this journey, I promise to make it interesting!
